I'm impressed.  You did this game/demo from scratch!  You even made use of web oscillator to create the sound effects!

Nicely done. Cool palette and visuals.

It gets boring pretty fast. Some variety with monsters/items/weapons would be nice. Although, I realise that might not be possible within the scope of a jam.

Still, some hacks can be implemented fast.  Like a mega-bat boss - just like a regular bat, but scaled x2 and stronger :)

This was a lot of fun! I especially liked the sound effects, and the Zelda-style screen transitions were a great touch.

Thank you, those screen transitions were one of the first things I programmed to get a proper zelda feel :)

The endind screen was literally the second one. lol

After trying again, started to wonder around killing bats that annoyingly respawned and got a score of 33 when I found the end. Had a key but never got to use it.

Could be better balanced but I think it's pretty and works pretty well!

Sorry to hear the random generation gave you such a tiny level :o

The maze is procedural and won't always have the same amount of treasure inside.

Score 290. Game is too easy. One would never die. Also, the respawning bats are annoying. Graphics and sounds are amazing. Very Zelda-like. I love it. However, it is a bit boring to play. At one point I simply spammed the attack button and just wizzed through the rooms. 

Yeah fire magic is powerful, I think adding a magic meter would be a good idea.

NICE! Love the style and feel, quite simplistic, but nice nevertheless. It would be great to see more things added if you continue on it just for fun.

Thank you, I'd quite like to add tougher enemies and more to the maze generation. Perhaps an overworld too?

I'd start on the enemies really, just making it a little more "strategical" to be killed, or random enemy actions. Then perhaps a limited projectile for the player to deal with specific enemies.

That would even be enough really, the map doesnt need to be too crazy, just variety of enemies I'd say.

But as mentioned, IF you are to continue on it... I'd say move to something else though lol.
